Misty is a nationally recognised leader in LGBTIQA+ rights and human rights practice, and has been invited to speak at a number of national and international conferences. 

Presentation highlights include a 2019 Keynote Address at the University of Sunshine Coast Diversity Week and a plenary panel with the Honourable Michael Kirby, Professor Deborah Terry, Commissioner Ro Allen, and Professor Braden Hill at the 2018 Australian Ally Conference at Curtin University.
